Seascapes
Terry Murphy’s Seascapes capture the atmosphere of the wild coastal scenery along Waterford’s Copper Coast – named after the copper mines that abounded in the region over a century and a half ago. These copper mines were dug under the sea – with only entry shafts on the coastline itself, so very little distruction of the environment occurred.
Powerful Atlantic Ocean winter storms have over the millennia indented the coastline magnificently and when photographed under brooding moody sky’s – in Black & White especially, they evoke, an atmosphere of times past.
