Seven Shades of Black - Images From Ireland by Terry Murphy

Welcome to this collection of my favourite images from the south east of Ireland.

I was born and educated here in Waterford city and initially trained as a graphic and product designer.

Photography always interested me however, and I always knew it would be part of my life sometime. in the event it became all consuming much more than I thought.

Nature in all her moods holds a special interest for me and I find myself revisiting the same locations over and over - each time discovering a different atmosphere.

I frame my subjects as I want to finally see them and let the camera capture the image. I remember the mood of the moment and it is this that I try to re-create in the finished print. I hope you can sense this atmosphere - it's there, you just have to look.
